Jibacoa Tennis Sept/Oct 2007

This was my first time going to Jibacoa in September/October. I was curious to how the weather conditions would be at this time of season. Well, it only rained 3 times. Each rain fall lasted no more than an 1hr 1/2.

The resort is normally half full at this time of year, but this year it was PACKED for the whole month of September. This was a result of big discounts found online and through agents.

Usually at Jibacoa you will find 80% of the people from Canada, but this trend changed in September. We had 60% Uk, 30% Canadian and 10% mix of other countries. By the time I left the numbers got back to normal with 75% Canadians at the resort.

As for the tennis tournament 1. We had a good showing the first tournament and we gave out a few prizes (see pics below). I would like to thank everyone who attended.

As for the tennis tournament 2. We had a bigger crowd for the 2nd tournament. We gave out a bottle of rum and t-shirts to the lucky winners (see pics below). Again, I like to thank everyone who attened.

There was an special Staff Volleyball Tournament during my visit. I was drafted to be on the Entertaiment Staff Team and we played against the Regular Staff at the resort. The games were intense and we won 5 games to 2. Each game was to 25. I will post pictures soon.

Jibacoa also has a guest Aerobics Instructor program to help with fitness at the resort. Penny from Montreal was the guest instructor for 1 week. She was awesome, and very professional. She joined in with the Enterainment Staff and participated in many activities. The Jibacoa Staff miss her and hope to see her again. (Thanks for the pics too Penny)

It was a great to see everyone again, and I'll be back in April/May 2008.
