Jibacoa Tennis April/May 2006

I hope you like the slide show.....thought I add something different this time around.

I had another great time (Like always). There was a change at the tennis courts, and I was very happy to see it. They took out the hardcourt and added another CARPET court. This will make playing alot easier as you can imagine playing on a hardcourt at +35.....ouch.

On Tournament Days we had lots of player and we gave out t-shirts to all the winners. We also gave away a RUM bottle (Raffle). The highlight of the 2 weeks wasn't the tennis or the parties.....It was SANDHOCKEY !!. I'd rather be the SANDHOCKEY PRO than the TENNIS PRO.....it's such a blast. Like always, I played for team CUBA...hahaha...yap, I'm the Canadian import. Sandhockey is the most popular game at Jibacoa. Everyone watches and most people cheer during the game. Who wins you ask?......I'll tell you the rules, and you figure it out....

Rules of Sandhockey:

1) Penalties only for Canadians

2) Referee's are all Cuban

3) If it's a TIE, Cuba WINS

Alright, I hope to return to Jibacoa this coming May 2007. I also hope you enoying reading about all my many years at Jibacoa....I've had lots of people thank me for posting this Jibacoa blog, and I will add more in the future.
